Mission Statement:
Madison Middle School is a community of involved citizens that empowers
all students to have an “I can” attitude and prepares them for success in an
ever-changing world.
Goal 1:
By the end of the 2024-25 school year, Madison’s SPED/504 student population
will increase its OSAS Regular Attenders rating from a 1 to a 2, closing the gap
between this subgroup and our white/school-wide ratings (while maintaining or
improving our Hispanic/Latino students goals as well).
Goal 2:
By the end of the 2024-25 school year, Madison students, and specifically
our Hispanic/Latino student population will increase their ability to
read, and specifically reading to learn. This is a crucial component to
life beyond middle school. Success in high school and life is
connected to one’s ability to read informational texts and not only
understand the reading, but also be able to discuss and respond to
what is being learned. We will use the AVID WICOR (specifically the
W, and the R) in each classroom and subject area.
Goal 3:
By 6/14/25, Madison will reduce incidents of reported harassment (specifically
students of color and other marginalized demographics) and increase student
connection and belonging according to SAEBRS data.
